The album Cut marked the comeback for Golden Earring in 1982. Originally intended as a farewell album, it became a new phase in the band's history due to its artistic and commercial success. Both the album and the single Twilight Zone reached the top spot on the charts, and the music video directed by Dick Maas gained a lot of attention. In America, the single even reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, partly thanks to the exposure on music channel MTV. Meanwhile, in the spring of 1983, the band performed about forty shows in two months in America.

This extended edition includes the remastered version of the album, as well as the single version of Twilight Zone, both single versions of The Devil Made Me Do It, and the B-sides King Dark and Shadow Avenue. The second CD, The Cut Sessions, offers a variety of outtakes, rough mixes, and alternative versions, including the first studio recordings of Twilight Zone and Future from November 1981. A DVD is also included, featuring the long-awaited restored music videos that director Dick Maas made for Golden Earring between 1982 and 1997. The footage has been transferred and remastered from the original 16mm and 35mm film reels, as well as analog and digital videotapes. As a bonus, the Toppop music video of The Devil Made Me Do It and an episode of the Polygoon Journaal about the making of the music video for When The Lady Smiles have been added. All tracks have been remastered in 24 bit/192 kHz from the original master tapes.
