If your AirTag is close, your iPhone can lead you straight to it with Precision Finding. Thanks to the built-in Ultra Wideband technology, you'll see exactly which direction to go and how far away it is.

Global Network Assistance

Left something far away, like at the beach or gym? You can track your AirTag using the 'Find My' network, which consists of hundreds of millions of iPhones, iPads, and Macs worldwide. Your privacy is protected at every step.

How does it work?
The Apple AirTag sends out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by devices in the Find My network. These devices send the location of your AirTag to iCloud. You can then see its location on the map in the Find My app. This entire process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy. It’s also highly efficient, so you don’t need to worry about battery life or data usage.

Lost Mode

Just like your other Apple devices, you can put your AirTag in Lost Mode. You’ll automatically receive a notification once it’s detected by a device in the network. You can also set it up so that people can receive your contact information when they tap your AirTag with an NFC-capable smartphone, the same technology used for mobile payments.
